Pre-literacy Skills, Reading, and Writing

Echo Speech Therapy is now offering early literacy, reading, and writing support!

  • Speech Sound Disorders and Literacy

Children who have difficulty pronouncing sounds and/or being understood have a higher likelihood of having difficulty with learning how to read and write. For example, if your child says “f” instead of “th”, they may spell thumb as “fum”. Therapy at Echo Speech therapy for speech sounds incorporates phonological awareness and early literacy skills to help support your emerging reader.

  • Pre-literacy and Preschool Age Programs

Boost your child’s phonological and phonemic awareness skills to help prepare them for kindergarten! If your child struggles with pronunciation of sounds, they may need additional support with building pre-literacy skills before they enter kindergarten.

Echo Speech Therapy offers individual and group classes for children between the ages of 2-5 years.

  • Reading Support

Is your school aged child struggling to learn to read or write? Echo Speech Therapy offers individual therapy sessions to help support children who are having difficulty learning to read and children diagnosed with dyslexia or disorders of written language.
